How do I stop forwarding ads?

Enable or disable automatic forwarding in Outlook.com

You can automatically forward your email messages in Outlook.com. This is useful when you want to read and reply to messages from another email account, or when you want someone to receive and reply to your email in your absence.

Hints:

  • Forwarded messages will appear as messages forwarded by your account. This means that replies to these messages will be automatically addressed to your account and not to the original sender.

  • If you would like replies to messages that are automatically sent to a different address to be sent to the original sender, please set up inbox rules in your Outlook to create a message forwarding rule.

Set up automatic forwarding

Note: If two-step verification isn't turned on for your Microsoft account, you'll be asked to turn it on when you turn on forwarding. For more information, see Two-Step Verification.

  1. Select Outlook.com in the option Settings > Show all Outlook settings out.

  2. Choose You mail > Forwarding off.

Note: If two-step verification is enabled, you will be prompted again to verify your identity.

  3. Do one of the following:

    • To activate forwarding, select Forwarding activate, enter the forwarding email address, and select Save from.

Note: Activate the Copy of Forwarded check box Keep messages if you want to keep a copy of the original message in your mailbox.

    • To turn off forwarding, turn off Activate forwarding, and choose Save from.
