It is by no means harmful to self-gratification, and it does not make you sick either. Sexuality is part of life and is a source of energy for it. If you feel pleasure, masturbation is the easiest way to act it out. The fantasies are irrelevant and you are not accountable to anyone else for what you think about masturbation. The negative aftertaste of masturbation should disappear in the age of "enlightenment", but unfortunately there is still much to be done in this regard.
