description

MTA materials have excellent potential for endodontic use. Their good radio opacity keeps the mind indispensable for certain clinical applications. PCs appear to be biocompatible and have similar technical properties to commercial MTA materials. A disadvantage of Portland cement is that it has a lower radio opacity and its main advantage is its very low cost. The use of expensive commercial MTA dental materials for primary tooth endodontics in an attempt to replace less efficient or toxic materials. Interestingly, no information has been released on details that have delineated the current MTA materials precisely; the change in the use of gray to white MTA was simply changing from gray to white portland cement as the base material to be mixed with bismuth oxide. The occurrence of clinical discoloration after the use of MTA materials has not yet been resolved.
