What is a CNC solution

Latest versions of the CNC solution for reduced cycle times

According to Bosch Rexroth, the latest versions of the Indramotion MTX CNC system family are finely scalable in terms of hardware and software. In the highest expansion level, they regulate up to 250 axes in 60 independent NC channels with control hardware. The system solutions are already designed for the requirements of Industry 4.0 with open interfaces to the IT world, multi-touch operating devices and simulation programs.

Two trends are currently shaping the market for machine tools: On the one hand, end users for large series are ordering complex production systems with integrated horizontal and vertical networking. This increases the number of axles sharply.
On the other hand, compact but precisely working machine tools are gaining market share, especially in emerging countries. Bosch Rexroth offers suitable solutions for both development lines.
By using a multi-core processor, the system solution achieves minimum cycle times even with a maximum number of axes and replaces additional controls that were previously necessary in complex rotary transfer machines. This means that machine manufacturers can also automate complex systems economically, especially since a PLC according to IEC 61131-3 is integrated for automation in all variants. With predefined technology functions for turning, milling, grinding, punching and beam cutting, the system solution is suitable for universal use.
At the other end of the performance spectrum, the compact IndraMotion MTX micro CNC solution now also takes on the 5-axis machining of components. This enables end users to meet the precision requirements of the automotive industry, for example, with minimal investment costs
