How to stick false eyelashesinstructions for beginners

Granted, artificial eyelashes are an art in themselves. With a little practice, however, you will quickly become a master of dramatic moments. We will show you step by step how you can stick on false eyelashes yourself.

Wow eyelashes are trendy. But very few of us are naturally blessed with long, thick Klimper eyelashes. That's why women don't have to do without it. With a little practice and a set artificial eyelashes can be used to create sensual eye-catchers for evening or party makeup.

False eyelashes to glue on yourself by Artdeco

Artdeco eyelashes are certainly one of the more expensive lashes that you can treat yourself to. The artificial eyelashes are made of real hair and are hand-knotted. If you have short or few eyelashes, but still want a natural result, you should use individual permanent tufts of eyelashes and apply them selectively.

From left to right: Real hair eyelashes in various designs for 19.90 CHF, permanent eyelashes for 14.90 CHF, eyelash glue for permanent eyelashes for 22.90 CHF, remover for permanent eyelashes for 22.90 CHF.

Which are the right false eyelashes?

Artificial eyelashes come in all sizes, shapes and colors. If you want a more natural result, you should only work selectively with individual artificial eyelashes or half-length false eyelashes. Usually, eyelashes made from real hair are smoother than synthetic hair and blend better with the natural structure of the eyelashes. But of course they are also more expensive. For the absolute diva style, rely on long, full band eyelashes.

Applying false eyelashes yourself: what you need for it

  • 1 set of false eyelashes (half-length artificial eyelashes are recommended for beginners)
  • Eyelash glue (pay attention to quality and skin tolerance!)
  • Eyelash curler
  • tweezers
  • 1 cut cotton swab
  • black liquid or gel eyeliner
  • black mascara
  • possibly 1 pair of scissors

Gluing on false eyelashes: step by step instructions (for beginners)

Step 1: shape eyelashes

First of all, use an eyelash curler to give your natural and bare eyelashes more curl. If you warm up the tongs beforehand with the hair dryer, the eyelashes can be shaped more easily. Professionals apply artificial eyelashes to the made-up eye. However, since beginners still need some practice with gluing eyelashes at the beginning, it is advisable to apply eyeshadow & Co. only at the end.

Step 2: adjust false eyelashes

Now use tweezers to carefully pull the false eyelashes out of the box. Always grasp false eyelashes at the base of the lashes so that you do not accidentally tear off any of the hairs. Now hold the artificial eyelashes in place for a test and then trim excess eyelash hairs or length with scissors to the desired length.

Step 3: apply glue to false eyelashes

Then apply a thin layer of eyelash glue on the underside of the lash line and let it dry slightly while blowing. When it comes to eyelash glue, less is more. Too much does not hold up well and leads to an unclean result. When it comes to adhesives, it is also not necessarily advisable to save, inexpensive adhesives are usually less skin-friendly and less resistant.

Step 4: attach false eyelashes

Now comes the most difficult, but also the most important step. Take your time for this. Tilt your head back slightly and start pressing the false eyelashes, starting from the center of the eye, as close as possible to the natural lash line. Do not despair if it does not work the first time, several attempts until you have found the optimal spot are completely normal at the beginning. When you are satisfied with the position of the artificial eyelashes, gently press them into place with your fingers or a cut off cotton swab stick. Remove excess eyelash glue with the soft side of the cotton swab. Important: Keep your eyes closed for two or three minutes until the glue is dry.

Step 4: Thicken the lash line naturally

After two to three minutes, the eyelash glue is completely dry. Now condense the roots of your artificial and natural eyelashes with an eyeliner. When you get used to this, a liquid kohl or gel eyeliner will get the best result. For the cat-eye effect, apply the eyeliner a little thicker and at the end pull it up with a swing.

Step 5: apply eyelashes

Now you can apply the lashes as usual. Professionals recommend volume mascara. Combing the real and false eyelashes together will give you a more natural result. An eyelash brush helps with lumps. Now repeat the procedure for the second eye.

Remove false eyelashes

Soak a cotton ball in liquid makeup remover or baby oil and dab the lash line well with it. Let the makeup remover take effect before you carefully peel off the artificial eyelashes, starting at the inner corner of the eye. False eyelashes can be used more often if you clean them carefully with alcohol after removing them.

By the way: if false eyelashes are too expensive for you, you can have your eyelashes extended by a professional. The result lasts about three months and costs between 250-300 francs.
