Task-based information provision in times of big data

In this book, Marco Pospiech examines the consequences of the Big Data movement for corporate information management. As a possible scenario, he implements a big data system for energy trading, the consideration of which enables the derivation of general consequences in information management. For these challenges, current technologies and methods are identified in the form of a catalog of measures in order to ensure the success of future big data developments. The contribution is not limited to the mere listing of existing solutions, rather science and practice are enriched with their own methods, the applicability of which is not limited to energy trading.
