Hi,
We recently created a pse of the memorandum for our freshman semester .. unfortunately the file is on the Fachschaft server, which I cannot access from here ... I don't know all memorandum by heart (I learned it without) .. . but maybe I can get a few more together for the main groups ...

2nd HG: AT MaGen CAsper SpRudeln BAeuerchen RAus
3.HG: Visit all restaurants IN ThaiLand
5.HG: Nico pisses aeuSserst SBrudelte beer
6.HG: Olga is looking for SExual phone policists
7.HG: Flying CLowns bring atomic bombs to Iraq

I can't think of the others ...

Just do it ...

There are 8 main groups. From this you make 8 memos
For example, in the group of alkali metals:

H
Li
N / A
K
Rb
Cs
Fr.

You then use it to make a saying so that the first letters of the words match the abbreviations of the elements. Example:

Hans
Ran
To
Cologne
......
.....

So I always remember things and it works wonderfully

I am assuming that there is no motto or anything like that. Just try to memorize it. Often it is not as difficult as it seems and you have "put it in" faster than you think

sure you should learn the mass number? or rather the ordinal number ???

otherwise: at some point, if you count on quantities often enough, then at some point you just know them ... not of all the elements, but of those that you often need ...

I have to learn:
The mass of the atom, at which point it is, and the electron configuration. until next week.
but thanks so far for the tips with the sentences.

So, atomic mass, I don't know how to simplify learning because the masses are made up of different isotope masses / occurrences ... the electron configurations can be derived quickly once you have understood the system you don't really need to memorize anything ... except for the system, of course ...

if you think you have it at some point, then I recommend you do an exercise (except that you should write it down from time to time ... maybe I should do it again ... ) ... but what I actually wanted to say was the exercise, and it reads: imagine the periodic table is a chessboard and the jumper stands on this and that element ... eg arsenic ... which elements can you jump on (and it's best to do it without pen and paper, but close your eyes and imagine) ...

LOOOOOOOOL !!!!
sorry, but now you've made a fool of yourself .. why should biologists learn the pse by heart and not chemists ??? ask any chemistry student, if he is good, then he knows the pse by heart ... and that's a good thing ... because if you know where something is, you can look it up at any time, even if you don't have a book at the start, derive different tendencies, connections, characteristics etc ... it is also about recognizing, understanding and applying to other things certain principles that are behind them ...
and again: why should BIOLOGISTS ??? learn the pse by heart ???

yes nu, you only have to learn the main groups ... that's not so wild .. we had to learn main and subgroups straight away .. luckily we were spared the lanthanoids and actinides ...

then I take (almost) everything back and claim the opposite ..
in your first post you just put a quote and in this one it was (until then) only about learning the pse in general ... and you also explained the biologists a bit vaguely ... well, it doesn't matter. .. no offense ... for school that may be a bit exaggerated .. but for studies it is quite practical ...

are there also such sayings for the subgroups? and for tension series?
we have to learn by heart. so senseless, but what can you do with anything.
